Airports:
Brussels Airport is the main airport of Belgium. Charleroi Airport (sometimes called ‘Brussels-South Airport’) and Liège Airport are smaller airports.

The railway station ‘Brussels Airport’ is situated under Brussels Airport where you can take the train to Gent via Antwerp.

There is no railway station at the Brussels-Charleroi Airport. Bus ‘line A’ brings you from the airport to the railway station Charleroi-Sud.

Liège Airport

There is no railway station at the Liège Airport. The Liège Airport shuttle (reservation through telephone 00 32 800 37 376 or online via www.liegeairportshuttle.com) brings you to the Liège-Guillemins railway station.

Belgian Railways 
Belgium has a dense railways net. Tickets can be purchased on-line through https://www.belgiantrain.be.

Only if you take the train at the Brussels Airport, be aware that you need to pay a supplement on your rail fare (“Diabolo” fee). In most tickets to or from Brussels Airport – Zaventem, this fee is included. More info: "Diabolo" fee.

There are two train stations in Gent:

          - Station Gent Dampoort (the closest station from the conference location)

          - Station Gent Sint-Pieters

Public transport Gent 
The closest stops to the conference location is Korenmarkt perron 3 and Korenmarkt perron 4. Both are located nearby the St Bavo’s Cathedral which is few hundred meters from the Novotel. Using the public transport ‘De Lijn’, you can take the tram line 38 (Station Gent Dampoort – Korenmarkt) or the tram line 1 (Station Gent Sint-Piters – Korenmarkt).
