30th Spent Fuel Workshop Ghent
This two-day event will be the 30th edition of a series of workshops with a long tradition, organized every 18 months, with the disposal problematics of spent nuclear fuel as the central theme.
Typical topics are the initial state of the fuel and its evolution prior to geological disposal, radiolysis and (electro)chemical processes that contribute to the radionuclide release, leaching experiments on real fuels and on model materials, and chemical modeling of the solid phase and the dissolution processes.
